Mr. Truex has ten years of experience in bioremediation research and field applications. He provides technical direction and management for field design and operation of accelerated in situ bioremediation systems, evaluations and applications of natural attenuation, and remediation-related research projects. Field experience in accelerated bioremediation and natural attenuation includes work at Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and private remediation sites. Research experience includes determining microbial reaction kinetics, examining contaminant partitioning behavior, and refinement of the Reactive Transport in 3 Dimensions (RT3D) reactive transport code.
Since 1997, Mr. Truex has also been a technical liaison between Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Bechtel Hanford Inc (BHI). BHI is responsible for implementing soil and groundwater remediation at the Department of Energy Hanford Site. In this liaison position, Mr. Truex provides technical and programmatic support for assessing and implementing improved remediation and characterization technologies.
